PhotoJournal
v0.85 PhotoJournal is a made from scratch web-based application in constant development. I've been working on it on and off for a year now. PhotoJournal in a nutshell is what keeps the three-thousand plus and growing photos on this site in order. It is heavily back-ended by a relational SQL database with stored procedures doing everything from displaying photos to managing comments to tracking photo view and search statistics. Needless to say there are several very good web photo gallery applications available - most for free, but I ended up creating PhotoJournal because of my own specific needs which these other "off the shelf" solutions didn't offer. It is an on going project with many updates planned, including a currently in the works e-commerce module for purchasing prints and royalty rights. |
